.NAME Domain Names

Launched in 2001, the Dot NAME top-level domain name extension is the only one planned for personal sites only. These domain names can be personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other titles people are famous by. Initially, only 3rd-level registrations were allowed, so if you desired to obtain john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and second-level registrations were also allowed. Already registered 3rd-level domains remained functional.

Through our company, you can reserve your dot NAME domain for a time interval between 1 and 10 years. You will be able to change the WHOIS information, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already registered domain to our firm if you have its EPP transfer authorization key from the present registration service provider and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been done. There are no special terms on who can secure a dot NAME domain name, but in order to keep the goal behind its establishment alive, the dot NAME Registry may check who the owner is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration may be challenged.

The dot NAME top-level domain extension is one of the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no further cost. In this way, your .NAME domain will be recognized in your country or region with the right spelling in your local language.
