RAM, or Random Access Memory, is a type of computer data storage, which enables the information to be read randomly without accessing the preceding bytes before that. That makes the RAM noticeably faster than other kinds of storage devices like DVDs or HDDs in which all the info must be read so that you can access particular data. When you have a shared hosting account, the total amount of memory which your web apps can use may not be fixed and may sometimes depend on the free memory that is available on the physical hosting server. With a standalone hosting server, however, there is always a minimum amount of physical memory that'll be at your disposal at all times and will never be assigned to other customers even when it is not used. That's valid with our virtual and dedicated web servers.

Guaranteed RAM in VPS Servers

If you decide to host your websites on a VPS server acquired from us, the amount of RAM which you'll get with it will be guaranteed and shall be available constantly no matter what. The VPS accounts are set up on efficient servers and when your virtual server is created, the RAM memory provided with the particular plan shall be "locked", so even in case you use a little part of it at some point while another VPS account is using virtually all of its system resources, we'll never assign the free RAM from your account even temporarily. That is valid if you upgrade the entire memory of the virtual server as well - the additional amount shall be added to your account entirely. You shall be able to upgrade either the whole plan or only the server’s RAM with only several clicks through the billing CP.

Guaranteed RAM in Dedicated Servers

If you purchase one of our dedicated server plans, you shall get a top-notch machine with sufficient RAM to run even a number of resource-demanding web programs with no effect on the overall performance of any one of them. Because we test every hardware component before we use it when we assemble a hosting server, we shall ensure that the RAM sticks aren't defective and that the machine functions flawlessly. The physical memory that you will get will be available constantly, so even in a situation in which you utilize only a part of it for a period of time, we will never alter the configuration. You will be able to check out the hardware, including the amount of RAM you have, within the billing CP.
